MEMBERS OF THE FACULTY


Most Reverend Dr. Joseph A. Alexander, PhD. Th.D. and D.D.
Area of Specialization: Christocracy & Governance historically, wealth & resource creation, the super structure & the nine structures, Missiological Principles, Authority in Christocracy, Economics & Governance, Philosophy of Christocratic Education.

He was ordained in June 1977 in New York City and served as an Assistant Pastor in the Bronx, New York. In 1982, he pioneered the New Covenant Christian Church and during the following years, the church grew rapidly throughout the City leading to the establishment of twenty-seven affiliated churches throughout the United States. In 1999, he was consecrated into the Office of the Bishop by The College of Bishop of the Council of International Charismatic Bishops (CICB), to serve as the Presiding Bishop of the New Covenant Christian Ministries network of churches worldwide. He was elevated to the office of the Archbishop to provide higher guidance to the global Bishops within the general membership of the Council of International Charismatic Bishops globally. He serves as the Chancellor of the University and Lecturer in Philosophy of Christian School Education, Christocracy and all higher levels of theological studies and Church leadership. His original teaching was on wealth creation for governance according to the mandate of the King.

He obtained a Bachelor of Theology Degree from the American Bible College, Pineland Florida in 1977, a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Sociology from the City University of New York in 1979, a Masters of Arts in Economics in 1982 and a Ph.D. degree both from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in 1985, and a Doctor of Theology degree from the Global Theological Seminary in 1989. He has been awarded two honorary Doctor of Divinity and Humanities degrees from the International Christian University in recognition of his contributions to Christian Theology and the impact he has had among the poor communities of the United States and around the world.


Most Reverend Maurice Talley, Ed.D.
Area of Specialization: 
Christocracy Fundamentals, Principles of Education & Governance, Global Impact of Education, Education & Human Resources Development, Education, Research & Development and Christocracy & State Affairs in the 21st century.

Archbishop Talley received his call to the ministry by Divine Intervention from Jesus Christ in 1976 and began his formal ministry upon entering the US Air Force (USAF) in 1978. Bishop Talley presided over military services in Europe, America while leading the United Kingdom Christian Fellowship, counseled military families, and advised commanders and military leaders during the Gulf War on personnel issues.

Dr. Talley completed 33 years of service to the USAF and the tri-state communities. Bishop Talley has served as Pastor of St. Peters Baptist Church in Burlington, NJ since 1997  and is founder of Triumphant Christian Fellowship International. He obtained an Associate Science Degree from Teterboro School of Aeronautics, NJ in 1976; Associate in Applied Science from the Community College of the Air Force, AL in 1993; a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics & Engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, FL in 1997; completed Master of Divinity studies at Eastern Theological Seminary, PA in 2000; Master of Arts in Counseling Services from Rider University, NJ in 2003; Doctorate of Education in Education and Organizational Leadership from Argosy University, AZ in 2012. Bishop Talley serves as the Provost of the University of Christocracy and College of Governance.


Reverend Mardette I. Alexander, M.A (ed).
Area of Specialization: Educational Administration, Leadership & Christocratic Education and Christocractic Academic Curriculum.

She is the Superintendent of Schools and co-founder of the New Covenant Christian School global system. She brings considerable expertise in curriculum development, financial management, information technology, instructional scheduling, and academic management. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Hunter College of the City University of New York, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Boston University. She has over twenty-five of teaching experience in Science with the New York City Board of Education. She was ordained as Senior Pastor in the New Covenant Christian Churches USA in November 1999 and works closely with Bishop Alexander and his senior management team to advance the international growth strategy of the educational system of schools.


EnoAbasi Whittenburg, Ph.D.
Area of Specialization: Governance, Christocratic response Counseling and the Christocrat

She is Executive Vice President for Crises Intervention and Development. In 2001, EnoAbasi began offering voluntary consulting services to the organization in the area of rapid response to humanitarian crises throughout the world. Her work includes developing strategies and establishing processes for securing U.S. based food, medicine, and medical team resources to provide a disaster recovery ministry. Through Dr. Whittenburg and Bishop Alexander’s leadership, New Covenant has provided rapid response humanitarian resources for earthquake victims in India, famine relief ministry in four African countries, disaster relief in countries ravaged by the 2005 Tsunami, and Hurricane Katrina in the United States.

On a post-Hurricane Katrina assignment for NCCM, Dr. Whittenburg relocated to the Gulf Coast region of Pass Christian, Mississippi to develop NCCMs new Antioch Dominion Restoration Campus. She has overseen NCCMs purchase of a 17-bedroom mansion standing on 10.5 acres, to develop a campus that will care for the elderly, youth, and serve as a counseling and training center for leadership in the community including Pastors. Antioch will also focus on providing training on rebuilding people and infrastructure after the emergency workers are gone. Dr. Whittenburg holds a Master’s degree in Psychiatric Social Work from New York University and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Religious Studies from New Life Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Divinity in Christian Education the Benin University International.


Bishop Adell Whittenburg, Ph.D.
Area of Specialization: 
Christocracy & Salvation and Holy Spirit & the church.

Bishop Adell is formerly served as the Southern State Resident Bishop overseeing Church Development and Pastoral Support for the churches in South Carolina, Mississippi, Texas, George, Florida, and Louisiana. As the Jurisdictional Bishop, he reports to Bishop Alexander.

Bishop Adell has been in ministry for 26 years and his experience includes administration, church planting, conference speaker, mentoring of pastors, and Christian school developer. Bishop Adell holds a Doctor of Divinity Degree in Christian Education from Benin University International has studied at the Word of Faith Satellite School in Dallas, Texas. With his vast international experience throughout the Caribbean and Africa, he continues to be a tremendous asset to NCCM and the Church in the United States.


Bishop Levi Cleare, Jr., M. Min.
Area of Specialization: Church Management & Structure, the Superstructure & the Mandate.

Bishop Cleare, Jr. is a Prelate in the Covenant Christian Ministries Worldwide and has been a member of the senior management team as Senior Instructor of New Covenant Ambassadors College of Ministries  and Theological Seminary for the past 13 years. After his full ordination in 1993, he began as Associate Pastor in charge of Facility Management and Care. He currently directs a staff of more than 17 Pastors at Dominion Cathedral and oversees core community services including education, counseling, housing for the homeless, and Pastoral care for thousands of members. He is a graduate of Pensacola Christian College, Pensacola, Florida. He has also completed numerous professional development seminars and workshops in the area of church growth/leadership, and financial management of modern not-for-profit organizations.


Wendy Jacqueline Cleare, MD., Ph.D.
Area of Specialization: 
Health in the Superstructure (church) and Planning in Wellness.

Dr. Cleare is one of the premier medical thinkers in the United States and has been New Covenants Director of Medical Consultative Services since earning her Medical Degree and Ph.D. at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2001. She is on the forefront of New Covenants community and neighborhood initiative to provide quality medical services and treatment to the poor and medical relief in time of international humanitarian crisis. A longtime advisor to Archbishop Alexander and chief architect of the Archbishop’s vision to establish by 2010, a Global Hospital, a hospital without walls.

Dr. Cleare has worked with New Covenant since 1992 when she entered medical school. In 2003, when New Covenant started a full-service clinic, she again pioneered the department while working as a Senior Consultant Physician at the Veterinarian Hospital in the Bronx County. She provides an overall direction to all the medical services of the Church and is presently developing the organizations Center for Independent Living for the elderly. As a visiting Lecturer in our College, all young Pastors values her experience and depth in clinical counseling for the twenty-first century church.


Reverend Garth Allen, M. Min
Area of Specialization: 
Christology, study in the Epistle and Kingdom in the Epistle.

Pastor Allen is Resident Pastor of the headquarter Church charged with the directing Community Affairs including liaising with the elected officials, and Church leaders to provide critical services to the general membership and works directly under the Executive Pastor and the Bishop. He is a board member of several community-based organizations representing the Bishop to balance the role of the spiritual and public responsibilities of the New Covenant Family in the City of New York. He is a 2005 graduate of the Ambassadors College of Ministries and Theological Seminary specializing in Urban Missiology.  Currently, he teaches Urban Missiological courses including evangelism and missions work in the cities.


Verna P. Blake, M.A.
Area of Specialization: 
Christian School Education, Christocratic Education Administration, and Teaching Methods.

Mrs. Blake is the Principal of Northeast Campus of New Covenant Christian School and has been a key member of the School Division for more than 18 years. She became Principal in 1998 and under her leadership the school has grown to 100% enrollment capacity. During her tenure, Preschool and Day Care divisions have been added, and the Northeast campus has enjoyed Universal Pre-kindergarten (UPK) through the New York City Department of Education for five consecutive years. Presently, the UPK funding reached its highest level of $450,000. Principal Blake holds a Master’s Degree in School Administration from College of New Rochelle and is licensed by the New York State Department of Education for Kindergarten level through Eighth Grade and is a Permanent Licensed School Administrator. She specializes in school management, curriculum and teaching method, which our students in the Christian education department greatly cherish.


Marcia R.M. Mark, M.A. (ed).
Area of Specialization: 
Christian School Education and Early Childhood and the Superstructure.

Ms. Mark is the Principal of the Southwest Campus of New Covenant Christian School. She has been an integral member of the New Covenant team for the past 18 years and was appointed to position of Principal after serving as Vice Principal. Under her leadership, the southwest campus has served more than 189 students from 150 families, and the school is prudently applying the funding from the New York City Department of Education Universal Pre-kindergarten Program. Ms. Mark holds a Master’s Degree in Education from the City University of New York, Herbert H. Lehman College, has qualified for the New York State Provisional License in Early Childhood and Elementary School Education.


Clifford N. Opurum, Ph.D., MCIT
Area of Specialization: 
Economics, Wealth Creation, Money & Banking, Applied Economics.

Dr. Opurum is a dedicated servant of God and a true believer, currently serving on the Board of Trustees of the New Covenant Christian Ministries and on the Board of Directors of the New Covenant Dominion Federal Credit Union (NCDFCU), where he previously served as the Chairman of its Credit Committee and briefly as the Treasurer. He is also the General Secretary of the Men’s’ Fellowship, a member of the Church Finance Committee, and has been a member of the church choir since 2005. He is an accomplished author, an ordained deacon, and a chaplain. He is a seasoned Professor of Transportation/Aviation & Logistics, Management, Economics, and Business Administration. He is currently a teacher at The City University of New York and in the School of Architecture at Pratt Institute. He won an award from the Automated Fare Collection System & Urban Public Transportation. Additionally, he is a Certified Security Guard Training Instructor and the Qualifying Officer & Co-Founder of Star Guards (a security guard training school certified by the Division of Criminal Justice Services, DCJS, New York State Department of State).

Dr. Opurum  holds a Ph.D. from the University of Leeds, England (2005), three Masters Degrees, respectively, from the State University of New York Maritime College (1985), Fordham University (1987), and the Polytechnic University (1994). From 1988 to 1991, he served on the New York City Senior Citizens Transportation Advisory Committee and concurrently as a member of the New York City Transportation Task Force, worked for the City of New York as a Community Coordinator (for the Borough of Brooklyn) and Program Officer (Contract Manager), during which time he played an active role in the planning, design, and implementation of the City’s premier para-transit program – the Access-A-Ride. He is a very strong advocate for the physically challenged New Yorkers (and particularly for the elderly. From 1991 to 1994, he served as the Regional Manager for the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut (Tri-State) Region’s Transportation and Demographics Activities Monitoring Program at the New York Metropolitan Transportation Council of the New York State Department of Transportation. Also, from 1997 to 2004, he served as a Planner in the Operations Planning Department of New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Metro-North Railroad. He is married with children.


Elder Ikiddeh, S. Ikiddeh, Ph.D.
Area of Specialization: 
Dispensational Truth & Christocracy, Introduction to Theology, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, the Teaching Ministry of the Church (Superstructure), Growth & Church Manpower and the Superstructure & Social Justice.

Dr. Ikiddeh is an ordained pastor with New Covenant Christian Ministries who is grounded in the word of God. He has served with the Ministry as one the leaders and as a teacher of the word of God in adult classes. He holds two earned doctorate degrees; one in Theology Christian Counseling, from the COBI, SC (2018) and another in Engineering from the University of California Western University (1980).

He worked as the Managing Director of Communication System provider and as the Real Estate management (1997 to present). He also served as the Senior Engineering Manager major global corporations (1997-1996), as a Senior Systems Engineer at Bendix Field ENGINEERING, Columbia MD (1975-1978). Most importantly, Dr. Ikiddeh is a passionate teacher of the word and completely devoted to advancing the kingdom of God Christocratically around the world.


Nosakhare Anthony Egharevba, MD, MPH.
Area of Specialization: 
Health & Wellness and Christocracy, Biblical View of Healthcare, Health and Faith in the 21st century.

Dr. Egharevba is a dedicated pastor of the New Covenant Christian Ministry and works with the University of Christocracy as a member of the leadership team and as a professor. He is a goal-oriented professional, with over 20 years of clinical, managerial, academic, and supervisory experience, solid analytical and clinical skills, a strong communicator, excellent interpersonal relations, team player with a sense of commitment and purpose that contributes to the overall success of Ministry objectives.

He is a doctor of human medicine, has a Master’s in Public Health and earned a  Bachelor’s of Science in nursing. He currently works with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as the Public Health Nurse – office of school of health. He has also been working as an Adjunct Professor in Biomedical Sciences at the College of New Rochelle since 2004. He worked as an adjunct professor of Biology in Boricua college (2005-2007), had in-service training at the department of ophthalmology central hospital in Benin city Nigeria (1988-1989), and served as the senior medical officer and medical officer of health (MOH) for the Isoko county, Olet, Nigeria.


Michael O Akintayo, Ph.D.
Area of Specialization: 
Research & Development in Christocracy Church Administration Institutional Management

Dr. Akantaya has been serving with the New Covenant Christian Church as a Pastor for over 20 years. He graduated from Capella University, Minneapolis, Minnesota with a doctoral degree in Human Services(2009); from Metropolitan College of New York (2001), with a Master’s degree in Administration, and from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan with Bachelor’s degree in Sociology (1987).

Dr. Akintayo works with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, New York as a Senior Public Health Advisor, as an Adjunct Professor of Administration and Public Affairs with the Graduate School of Public and Policy Administration (2013 to present), as a part-time Professor of an online Doctoral program in Leadership with the University of Abilene Christian University, in Abilene Texas from 2015 to present, Associate Professor (online) in the College of Health and Human Services of Ashford University, IOWA 2014-2015 and with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, as a Public Health Advisor (Community Health Educator between 1997 -2014, as Management and Strategy consultant 2010 and 2012. He also served as an Adjunct Professor in the College of Business, Metropolitan College of New York from 2001 to 2007. He has been a member of various Advisory Boards including Clinical and Medical Services New York, TB Control, New York City, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene NY. His research interests focus on health and the welfare of families.


Bishop Ebony G. Kirkland, Ph.D.
Area of Specialization: 
Church and Community, Church and the Market place, and Marketing.

Dr. Kirkland is a great friend and spiritual daughter of Archbishop Alexander. She is the founder and Senior Pastor of the Church of the Living God International. Since founding the Church of Living God International in 2003, she has formed a worldwide association of small churches and has ministered in different countries including Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Brazil, and Egypt. Dr. Kirkland graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Queens College, City University of New York. She earned an MBA in Administration from New York University, a degree in business management from Harvard Business School,  a Master of Divinity and a Masters in Religious Education from U.T.S.  She completed her Doctorate of Ministry (D. Min) degree from U.T.S. and was recently awarded an honorary doctorate in Humane Letters from CICA.

Dr. Kirkland is the Founder, President, and CEO of Ebony Marketing Research, which is one of the nation’s foremost marketing research firms. It specializes in multicultural research for business, government agencies, and non-profit organizations within the United States and Central America.  The firm has worked with 500 companies including Proctor & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Verizon, Hallmark, and M Donald’s. Additionally, Dr. Kirkland has recently co-authored a book titled “The Power of a Woman” and has been featured as a guest on television and radio programs. She has also served as a board member with the Bronx Initiative Corporation, the Women’s President Organization, of the professional business network.


Ida Hadoto Josephine Mikisa, Ph.D.
Area of Specialization: 
Para-Church Administration and Family & the Community in Christocracy.

She is the Director of Development and Associate Dean of the University. She is an ordained minister by the Morris Cerullo Ministry and the Joseph Kalema Ministry. Her ministry work in Uganda included counseling women, youth, and couples. Additionally, she encouraged ministers to work together, organizing and funding seminars for pastors and church leaders of both the evangelical and Anglican faith. She graduated with a Doctoral Degree in International Family and Community Studies from Clemson University, SC (2018), A Master’s Degree in Agriculture  Development from Aberdeen University, UK (2000), a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development from Reading University, UK (1992) and a diploma in Education (Physics/ Chemistry) from Kyambogo University, Uganda.

She is a member of the United African Congress and volunteers for the Lady Be Bless Humanitarian Foundation as the Director of Research and Development. She worked with Clemson University as a Research Assistant (2015-2017). Worked for Send a Cow as the Team Lead for the Africa based Technical support team covering seven countries in Africa (2014-2015), worked as the Gender and Social Development Coordinator East and Southern Africa (2006-2015), as the Country Director Send a Cow Uganda (2015-2016 and 2000-2003), and as Gender and Social Development Manager Send a Cow Uganda 1997-2006). During her work with Send a Cow the program impacted over 20,000 households in Uganda and improved the livelihoods of an overall 1.7 million people in Africa – in areas of food security, incomes, health, cooperate work, savings and credit, and business management.
